Learn Sense Grow is eligible to provide services under a number of Government and Private Schemes including Medicare (Chronic Disease Management and Focused Psychological Strategies), Helping Children with Autism, Better Start and Private Health Insurance. Please contact your General Practitioner, Paediatrician or Learn Sense Grow to discuss your eligibility. Clients can also be self-referred or can be referred by their GP, Paediatrician, Allied Health Professional or teacher. For more information on our fee schedule please refer to “Fees” on our website.
If any of the below rebates are available for claiming, the invoice and receipt can be taken into medicare or your private health insurer for claims.
Private health insurance extras cover (if your cover includes Occupational Therapy)
A Chronic Disease Management plan (formally Enhanced Primary Care Plan) which is completed by your GP prior to your appointment. The care plan needs to be made out to Occupational Therapy (treatment code 10958) and entitles the child to 5 rebates per calendar year to the value of $52.95/session. The family is required to cover the gap payment. Families are unable to use both Medicare and Private Health rebates in the one consult.
Mental Health Care plan for access to Occupational Therapy. This plan must be completed by your GP/Paediatrician/Psychiatrist prior to your appointment and entitles the recipient to 6 rebates per year initially (with the option to extend). The rebate is to the value of $74.80/session under Occupational Therapy (treatment code 80140). The family is required to cover the gap payment.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) – Disability Care Australia funding. Learn Sense Grow is a recognised provider under the NDIS. Please speak with your child’s Planner should you wish to utilise Learn Sense Grow services under this funding. The hourly fee for Occupational Therapy is charged at NDIS rates, which is $172.13 (under Item No. 27008).
