MOBILE SERVICES

Learn Sense Grow offer’s mobile paediatric Occupational Therapy services in and around Adelaide. Our professional Occupational Therapists can come to your school, home community group or sporting association and provide the following:

  • Individual or group private OT session.
  • Workshops / Information Sessions for teaching staff, parents, students and the community designed to provide them with intervention tools to assist certain diagnoses or sensory, developmental, social and learning challenges.
  • Modification to the school and classroom environments in relation to sensory integra-tion. This may include assessment and recommendations for particular tools, equip-ment, sensory rooms and play environments.
  • Training and development courses for educators to further enhance their knowledge base, understanding, professional skills and strategies to facilitate with individual children or the whole class.

SERVICES IN THE CLINIC

At Learn Sense Grow, we aim to assist children in their earlier years to enable them to
participate in more independent, meaningful and fulfilling life roles. Our paediatric Occu-
pational Therapy programs are designed and run by therapists specialising in child de
velopment and the activities within these programs are graded to meet individual chil
dren’s needs. Sessions are developed with kids in mind to ensure that they are fun,
positive, achievable, engaging, stimulating and playful.

Our Occupational Therapists are experienced in working with a range of children’s lim
itations that may result from, but are not restricted to, sensory processing disorders,
developmental delays, spectrum disorders, learning difficulties and specific diagnoses
or concerns. Learn Sense Grow can assist you if your child has difficulty with one or
more of the following areas:

  • Fine motor tasks
  • Gross motor tasks, movement, coordination, balance and ball skills

TELEHEALTH SERVICES

At Learn Sense Grow we also offer Telehealth services, providing OT sessions with your
child. These sessions are highly interactive and are developed to meet the goals of your
child, whilst using practical and simple equipment that you can find in your environ
ment. A convenient way to deliver effective therapy and reach families that are other
wise unable to access services, whilst also supporting families to have a better under
standing of what they can do to support their child at home. Please contact us to dis

GROUP PROGRAMS

Learn Sense Grow offers regular holiday programs designed to focus on a range of skill
sets including motor skill development (fine, gross and visual), school readiness and
social programs embedding social competency skills and daily living skills. Join our

offer taylor made programs for interested groups and can offer our Social Learning Pro-
gram in a clinic or school setting, dependent on numbers and children’s needs and
ages.

FAMILY SUPPORT

Learn Sense Grow’s services don’t just start and end with an Occupational Therapy
session. The entire team believe that a holistic approach is what provides a child with
the best environment in which to flourish. Learn Sense Grow can provide your family
with further information that you may need to support the whole family such as with
details on how to navigate the NDIS, how to access it and gain support with funding
and management.

The team can also let you know what information is out there to access support, tools
for other family members and tips on how to work with your child’s school.

Learn Sense Grow can discuss with you options for support in school, around the home
or at other places your family may visit. They can also provide information on how to
manage holiday periods and what support bodies/groups are accessible. Plus, they
keep themselves up to date with all the latest changes in NDIS laws and online resourc-
es such as relevant links and podcasts.

FEES

At Learn Sense Grow we are mindful of the financial challenges supporting your child can create. Please review the options available to support OT services for your child or contact us to discuss further.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Learn Sense Grow is a NDIS registered provider for Occupational Therapy and can offer support services to clients who have Agency Managed, Plan Managed and Self Managed plans.
 
Agency Managed – NDIS provide payment direct to the service provider Learn Sense Grow. Areas of registration for Agency Managed clients is limited to Therapeutic Supports. 

Plan Managed – A third party provider is responsible for claiming the participants NDIS funding.  Invoices will be sent direct to your selected Plan Manager for payment.  

Self Managed – You are responsible for all payments of invoices. Invoices will be sent direct to you for payment. 
Occupational Therapy services are billed in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide,  Price guides and pricing | NDIS
For specific information on NDIS and to determine if your child is eligible for funding through this scheme visit National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 
 

Medicare Plans

There are a variety of funding options and Medicare rebates available to eligible families. Eligibility for these plans is determined by your Doctor, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist. 
 
GP Mental Health (Better Access) Plan – for access to Occupational therapy. This plan must be completed by your GP/Paediatrician/Psychiatrist prior to your first appointment and entitles the recipient up to a total of 20 rebates per calendar year. Your doctor will refer you for up to 6 sessions at a time. Only suitably qualified practitioners can service this plan, please contact us to discuss further.

Chronic Disease Management Plan – This plan formally known as the Enhanced Primary Care Plan must be prepared by your GP and can provide people with a chronic or complex medical need access to up to 5 rebates per calendar year.

Private Health

Please contact your Private Health fund to determine the level of cover you might have of Occupational Therapy support.  Use the following reference codes when contacting your Private Health fund:
